I’m not sure if I was doing something wrong or if the site was just glitchy, but trying to buy tickets online was confusing. It kept sending me back a page, and I had to redo parts of it a few times. I did eventually get the tickets, but it took way longer than I expected.

My kids really enjoyed the zoo class and especially liked the keeper talk. It did feel a bit crowded in a few spots, but it wasn’t a big issue, and the staff did a great job explaining everything in a fun, easy-to-follow way

The place just felt too crowded and kind of gloomy for us. It wasn’t very relaxing to walk around with all the noise and some messy areas here and there. I get that busy spots can be hard to keep perfect, but if people are coming to unwind or enjoy the day, it really needs to feel a bit more comfortable. We ended up leaving way earlier than we planned.

I just went recently, and while there were definitely some cool animals to see, the variety felt a bit limited this time. Maybe I caught it on an off day, but based on my latest visit, I was hoping for a little more to explore.

The zoo itself was okay, and we still had an alright time walking around, but the restrooms were bad. They smelled awful and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I hate having to keep pointing out something that should be basic, but clean bathrooms really matter, especially at a place where families are spending the day. It kind of ruined the visit for us...

I really liked the zoo overall, so maybe I was expecting too much from the gift shop, but it was kind of a letdown for me. I checked out the shop listed on turtlebackzoo/visit hoping to grab a few things for my kids, a lot of it just felt overpriced for what it was. The little toys and shirts didn’t seem like great quality, at least in my opinion, and the selection was limited. Some of the shelves looked picked over too, which didn’t help. The staff was perfectly fine and nobody was rude, but the shop itself just didn’t have much that made me want to buy anything. I’d definitely go back to the zoo, but I’d probably skip the gift shop next time.

There was trash along some of the paths, the bathrooms smelled really bad, and a few areas looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Like I said, I was hoping for a nice day, but it was kind of disappointing. Like I said, I wouldn’t be in a hurry to go back.

I signed up for the membership thinking it would make zoo visits cheaper and easier for my family, but I kind of regret not reading into it more first. The benefits ended up feeling underwhelming. The discounts weren’t much, and a few things I assumed were included still had extra costs. The website also wasn’t super clear, so I had to ask staff at the zoo to figure things out. For the price, I expected better perks or at least clearer instructions. I don’t think we’ll be renewing.

I was there with my kids and the security just don’t feel good. Walking around, I wasn’t really feeling safe at all, especially with the kids with me. It kind of make the whole visit stressful instead of relaxing.

I had a fun time overall, but the weird part is that the crowd kind of made it both more exciting and a little overwhelming at the same time. There was a lot going on, and it had a good energy, but it was also hard to fully relax with so many people around. Still enjoyed it, just wish it had been a bit less packed.

The attractions that were open were fun, but there just wasn’t much available. It also kind of felt like nobody really gave us a heads-up or cared that so much was closed, which made the visit a bit disappointing.

It felt pricey for what was offered, and there just weren’t many choices. The whole experience also felt a bit impersonal, like I was just another ticket number rather than an actual customer.

I went in hoping it would be a fun day out, but I left feeling kind of bad about it. Some of the animals seemed really bored, and a few of the spaces just didn’t look as comfortable or well-kept as I expected. I get that running a zoo is complicated, but something about it just didn’t sit right with me. I also wouldn’t really trust customer service to give a straight answer if you asked about it, which makes it feel even worse. I don’t think I’d go back unless they made some clear, real improvements in how the animals are cared for.

I was expecting a bit more, but a lot of the exhibits looked tired and smaller than I thought they’d be. Some areas felt oddly empty or just not very well taken care of. For the price, I guess I was hoping for more than the charming vibe of 'we’ll fix it eventually.' Left feeling disappointed.

I had a hard time getting around both the website and the zoo itself. The directions wasn’t very clear, and the signs there didn’t really help much either. I kept having to stop and figure out where I was supposed to go, which got annoying quick. Just wasn’t what I was expecting.

Turtle Back Zoo is definitely family-friendly overall. My kids were really into the animals and loved the train, so that part was a win. I will say, though, it got way more crowded than I expected, and trying to get around with a stroller was kind of a hassle. The food lines were also really slow, which made me wonder if we should’ve just packed more snacks instead. It was still a decent day out, and I’m glad we went, but I’m not sure I’d call it exactly relaxing

I was hoping for actual details about the visit, but it didn’t really give me enough to go on. The whole thing felt a bit vague, and I was left wondering what I was supposed to do next. A clearer explanation and some obvious next steps would have made the experience a lot less frustrating...

I’m not trying to be overly picky, but I feel like I paid way too much for what I actually got. Maybe other people had a better experience, but for me, it just didn’t feel like there was enough value to justify the price.

The stroller paths were mostly fine and easy to get around on. A few spots were a little bumpy or narrow, but overall it was really manageable with a stroller.
